Record setting freshman quarterback John Hengehold has looked impressive in spring practice looking confident and making better reads. Beucher, who kicked at Lake Highland Prep, played 11 games for Tulane in 2004, hitting 4-of-9 attempts with a long kick of 53 yards.  He also was 33-of-34 on extra-point attempts.

Compiled 1,340 passing yards and nine TDs as a junior ... Originally began his prep career at Lake Mary (Fla.) High School.

Personal: Full name is Robert Joseph Kass ... Born March 25, 1986... Has quarterback bloodlines as his grandfather served as a signal-caller at Hofstra while father Dave played same position for John Mackovic at Wake Forest before transferring to New Hampshire ... Played in same high school program as current Pirate wide receiver Bobby Good.
